You're welcome!

It's true about community. I have a friend that has celiac
disease and she has to take her own food to
family events and potlucks.

I imagine our body type plays a big part. Some of us
can do it, some can't. Like my cousin changing
over after she turned 50. She just feels better now
eating a little chicken or fish.

Have a great day!
Tammy

I have a friend who is vegan and they don't eat even regular sugar because it is processed with bone chard (that comes from animals). It is a very strict diet and I think it really must be taken from a personal belief standpoint or you will not stay on the diet.

I personally believe in the biblical food laws (no pork, shellfish, etc) and I too must take my own food to BBQ's and parties some times. My kids have a hard time with it some times also. If you are doing a diet because you believe something in WRONG to eat it is very easy to stick to it. If you are on a diet that you just think will make you skinny faster it almost always fails.

I just keep telling myself that chocolate cake and ice cream should have been a no no in the bible

Hi all, from what I am learning about vegetarism's is that like you probably know there are different levels of this. The main thing I am learning and loving about it is that it also is a human way of living...meaning you are saving animals from cruelty on the farms, the way they are raised, from being born to being in the supermarket. These animals suffer great amounts of cruelty, kept in un-healthy living quarters, so tightly together, they cannot move, they are also treated with cruelty when being born as well, along with the mother. FARMUSA.com is a great site to get all your information, as they have loads of healthy recipes, and how to eat the vegan way without losing vitamins and nutritions from your diet. If you are choosing this way of life to improve your health, you definately will feel better. I do, and I am getting healthy along with it. good luck ! Happy New Year to all !
